The Cool Caddy golf drink holder

Every once in awhile, I run into a handy little gadget.  This may help your game while on the golf course.

The Cool Caddy is a special drink holder to use while playing golf. Easily attaching to your pull cart, the Cool Caddy uses a gimbaled bracket to keep your drink level while you walk the fairways of your favorite Myrtle Beach golf course. This drink holder makes a great gift idea for yourself or any golfer you know.

The Cool Caddy is also easily attached to the uprights on your golf cart to keep your drinks cold while you are on the tee or the green (and not in the trees).

Corner Store Collecting Used Books,CDs & DVDs for Troops Deploying From McGuire AFB

The county's Corner Store in the Moorestown Mall is seeking new or used books, CDs and DVDs for troops deploying from McGuire Air Force Base.

Administrative Clerk Valerie Torelli, who runs the store, which is an extension of the county Clerk's Office, said she has collected DVDs and CDs for troops in the past through a program organized by state legislators.

When that program concluded, she decided to contact McGuire about making future donations and to start collecting books as well.

"We're all big readers here at the store," she said. "You buy paperback books, you pass them along and then, what do you do with them when you're done?"

Now, used books collected at the store will be sent to McGuire where departing troops can select books from the collection before they are deployed.

The store is no stranger to collecting items for worthy causes.

Used cell phones are collected for the Sheriff's Department, which turns them into emergency phones for seniors and women at risk of domestic violence.

The store also collects pet supplies, old blankets and towels for the county Animal Shelter. In addition, empty ink and toner cartridges are collected at the store and given to the Burlington County Animal Alliance, which turns them in for money. The funds are used to support the Animal Shelter.

The store is open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more information call (856) 642-3833.

A delightful summer day in Red Hook

If you ever want to hop in the car and take a nice drive up to the catskills, consider stopping by Greigs farm and pick some fresh fruits.  Have a great time

Via Jennifer Fivelsdal, Rhinebeck NY:

The weather on Saturday was delightful.  My son asked me if I thought blueberries would still be around next week.  As a mother you know how to read between the lines.  The blueberries we had picked some weeks ago are all gone because they were such great  snack.  My son though, wanted to make sure we picked some more so that he would have his blueberry pancakes during the winter months.

So off we went to Greig Farm, there I met a family who love the area so much that each year they drive up from New Jersey to pick the various fruits and to enjoy the scenery.  They also showed me a large box of peaches they had picked at Meade's Farm and that will be my next destination.

Here is the Greig's Farm picking schedule for the rest of the season

Blueberries            July-August

Blackberries           August

Apples                  August-October

Raspberries           August-October

Pumpkins             September-October

You know I also love to take pictures and the day was just perfect for my hobby, the shots below will prove it.

Nothing From Nothing Leaves NOTHING!

One of my favorite keyboard/organ players Billy Preston used to sing a song titled Nothing From Nothing, Leaves Nothing.  In this day and age, it seems that there are always people who are looking for a magic pill. Something that will allow them to do nothing, but get something in return.  Even though Billy has passed on, the meaning of his song remains.  You must put in some effort in order to get some return.  You must try and try and try again.  Never give up until you reach your goal.  When you reach your goal set a new goal.  Never let anyone talk you out of your dream.  After all......it is YOUR dream.

My final point of the day has to do with the title of Billy's album to the left.  Everyboy Likes Some Kind of Music.  As you are working towards your goal, remember that thought.  You can't satisfy everybody, but certainly there are some other people who enjoy your kind of (______fill in the blank).  Find those who want to buy what you are selling and concentrate on that group.

My goal is to be the #1 Real Estate Consultant in Burlington County, NJ.  That is my goal.  I will continue until I reach that goal.  So the next time you hear Billy Preston singing "Nothing From Nothing Leaves Nothing".....think about your goal and the effort needed to reach that goal.

Good Luck.

Have a great day
