We All Gotta Eat: Grilled Lobster Recipe

This is a great recipe for grilled lobster from my blogging buddy Jennifer.

Enjoy

Via Jennifer Fivelsdal, Rhinebeck NY:

Okay, I am on vacation and I have received several comments asking why I am still bloging.  Trust me I am having a great time, walking, visiting places and spending time at the beach, however, getting on a computer is a routine.  I am always multi-tasking so I am watching TV yet at the same time using the computer.

Today I decided to grill lobsters, so I went to the seaford market and the clerk thought she was being helpful by telling me how steam a lobster.  I told her my lobsters would be going on the grill.  She told me she had never heard of this.  Anyway, I told her she was missing the best tasting lobster.

So how do you grill a lobster?

Some years ago when I first attempted this I took the rubber bands off the claws and I almost became the lobster's dinner.  I then figured out I could use cord to bind the claws before removing the rubber bands.  Yes make sure all rubber bands are removed because that is not a flavor you want to taste.

Next I rub some oil on the shell and wrap the lobster in foil paper, put it on the grill and close the lid.  I can't tell you exactly how long to cook it. I just turn and check it and I can tell when it is completed.

I also mix some melted butter with lemon juice and you may want to add garlic.

Along with the lobster I roasted potatoes and vegetables I brought along from my garden.

It was an awesome meal.

Looking good, what about some tips on jazzing up some hot dogs and beans? (lol)

Darrin- You can start by jazzing up the name of your dish.  Why not call it Hot Dog & Bean Casserole...lol

Laura -  If you can afford lobster in this economy, I am sure crab would work just as well :)

Can't help noticing the word "lobster" wherever it comes up - as a former New Englander I find that word delicious!

Leander - Hot Dog & Bean Casserole?  I don't know about that...how about Terrine de Boudin Banal et Haricots?

Jennifer - Sometimes you have to enjoy without the kids :). Another thing I like to make every once in awhile is a low country boil. Have you ever had that? Leander
