Philadelphia Food & Coat Drive: Please Help If You Can

Please Help Someone Less Fortunate Than Yourself

I have been blessed in 2008.  I am not close to being a Donald Trump, but my heat works, my mortgage is paid and I have food on the table.  There are so many who are less fortunate.  I received the following email this morning from the Fortress For The Arts In Philadelphia.  If you are in the Philadelphia area and are able to donate ANY food, please call Kat at the number below.  I will be picking up  some extra chicken to donate.  Thanks everyone for your help.

Remember......Givers Get

Please everyone we are so near to Christmas and yet we have only one turkey and a few canned goods. i know that it is a real busy time of the year for all, but remember that there is a large number of familys that have nothing to put under the tree, but mostly nothing to put on the table. i will even come a pick up if you can't drop off. thanks again and happy holidays .

Leander - you are so kind to bring this need forward.  A group of agents from our office shopped today at our local Sams Club and filled a couple carts with food to take to our food bank.  It is a hard time of the year for many of our brothers and sisters.  And we are so very blessed.

Merriest of Christmas wishes to you and your family.

Hi Leander,

Gopod of you to post this request. I do hope many locals read it and respond. Our local food banks were also at low supply this year. There was a drive to prompt more donations as late as this past Saturday. So many have so little many for the first time this year.

Merry Christmas to you and your family!

Leander -- hope you are doing well and enjoying the holidays.  We had several coat drives here in New Hampshire -- and with all the power outages people really needed them!  Nice to know that even when things are tough, we are willing to help those in need.  Happy Holidays to you!
