Recommended Reading: Twitter Revolution by Deborah Micek & Warren Whitlock
If you are like me, you have heard of this thing called Twitter. You may have even signed up for Twitter and then wondered....NOW What am I supposed to do???
Well help is on the way in the form of a book authored by Micek & Whitlock.
I have no stake in this project, nor do I know the authors. I happened upon this book when I was searching www.amazon.com for some help in understanding how to use Twitter for business purposes.
I am halfway through the book and I must say that I have learned a lot. My wife here's me say "OH, OK....now I get it" as I read through the book.
Some of the more interesting chapters in the book are titled
- Why Should You Care About Twitter
- What The Heck Is Twitter
- How To Get Started With Twitter
- Top 10 Reasons Companies Need To Tweet
- 101 Ways To Tweet
- Twitter Success In the " Real World"
- How Twitter Is Different from Traditional Marketing?
- Positioning & Branding Yourself On Twitter
- Marketing Yourself on Twitter & Connecting With Influencers
- The Seduction of Twitter
- Trend Spotting, Mobile Marketing & Smart Mobs
I am sure there are others books that are just as good, but this one seems to work for me.

Thanks Leander, I am going to get the book and hopefully use Tweets better
Hi Leander ~ Sounds like a worthwhile book. I've been reading posts here about Twitter but am still on the fence.

Leander, I have hesitated to even look at Twitter. Have been having a hard time keeping up with all the networking I already do. Would like to know which network ultimately is the best for business purposes. I do enjoy facebook for family and friend relationships, and try to keep it in that context. I guess the best world would be too busy writing deals to have time for the networking, rather than networking so the time will come when we all are too busy writing deals :) Thanks for the book referral and the knowledge that Twitter can be studied in so many different manners as you have outlined above. I will actually now look at Twitter online.

Thanks for the heads up. I have a twitter account, but can't say that I get it. So I just may have to read this book and see if a light bulb goes off for me.
Following you already buddy. Thanks for the heads up on the book!
